Reactions after win against Trnava: We are closer to our objective
The reactions of our players after the fifth league consecutive victory in a row.
For our penultimate home league game this season, we were entering with the aim to win and extend our six-match league line without loss. The first half was not the best football. The biggest chance to scored had Frank Castaňeda. But in the second half we started much better. "This game was challenging. We lost a lot of balls in the first half. But since the start of the match we have been fully focused, we have made another great performance on the defensive. In the last few minutes we have scored, this victory is very important. But we need to focus on the next game," admitted Sofian El Moudane after the match. The Frenchman with the Moroccan roots did a huge amount of work in this match as usual, which he crowned at our both goals in the game.
The turning point came in the 82nd minute, when chaos came up after a great job from El Moudane and the and his pass to the box. We tried to push the ball behind the goal line, which eventually succeeded our centre-back Kay. For Cape Verde, it was the fourth league goal in the current season. "The match was very similar to the last three, which we played against Trnava. It was very balanced, both teams have a quality and they know each other very well. But today decided detail. We were also lucky in the match, but thanks to God we got three more points that are very important in our situation," Kay explained.
After four games, Jean Deretti returned to the starting eleven, the Brazilian winger replaced in squad Patrick Asmah, whose health problems were eliminated from this game. Brazilian, who was a stable part of our basic line-up in first part of the season, played the whole match against Trnava. Despite the less time spent on the pitch in the second part of the season, our coach Ricardo Chéu was happy with the performance of the 26 year-old footballer. "As well as the previous games against Trnava, this one was challenging and decisive in its details. We know their team very well, as well as the strengths and weaknesses, which we tried to use in the match. During the match we had some weaker moments, but we managed the situation and won another victory. Getting closer to our goal, we have to go on like this," Jean Deretti commented on the match against Trnava.
The three points were decided by the details and the fact that we did conceded a goal in the third match in a row. For our goalkeeper Federico Taborda, it was the seventh clean sheet in Fortuna League this season. "It was a tough game, it was not the best performance in the last games. Trnava is a very strong team that defends great. We won because we showed a greater desire for victory, Spartak had a tough cup match also. We tried to win and eventually succeeded," concluded the 30-year-old goalkeeper.
