Coaching duo complete: Patrik Durkáč comes from Tatran Prešov
Patrik Durkáč will be the new assistant coach of Michal Ščasný in our club.
"I see the offer from Senica as a new challenge and another step forward in my coaching career. I believe that I can gain new experience in this club, but I also believe that I have something to offer the club in terms of my experience," said a new assistant of Michal Ščasný - Patrik Durkáč, who continues: "I´m glad I can be part of this organization and take part in the formation of young players. The club has a vision and philosophy that I agree with, and that is why I accepted this offer."
The choice of decision-making is never easy, otherwise it was not even in the case of a 40-year-old coach: "Decision-making was challenging as I spent my life in academy of Tatran Prešov and I also have a family in Prešov. I also had to consider these aspects. I come to a stabilized club with a clear vision, quality background and ambition."
The young coaching team Ščasný - Durkáč will join forces in our club to meet the expectations of the new season. As far as the cooperation of these two coaches is concerned, it is no unknown. "I know the coach of Ščasný from his time in the Prešov football academy, we also studied the UEFA A coaching license together. His offer rather pleased me. It is obligatory for me, but he knows my work, the view of football and access to duties. I am therefore glad that our journeys have met again. I know his work for a change, I know he´s a tough, but a fair coach and a man. That made my decision easier, I´d like to be his assistant. "
There is another new coach coming to our club, who, despite his young age, already has a experience on national team football: "I grew up football in Tatran Prešov, where I went through all the youth categories. I played football in teams JAS Bardejov, Tatran Prešov and then in Mars superliga. After completing a university degree in physical education and specialization in football, I decided to end my active career and drew my efforts into a coaching work. After twelve years at the University of Prešov as a teacher of eight he became a professional coach at the football academy 1.FC Tatran Prešov. As the main coach, I went through the age categories from U8 to U19. In recent years, I have also worked as an assistant coach for SR WU19 and WU17. "
