Jakub Krč: Give maximum on the pitch and helped the team to save the league
Jakub Krč became an essential part of our basic line-up in the spring part of the Fortuna League.
“To get the best on the pitch for Senica and try to win every match,” he answers the question, what does it mean to wear a Senice jersey for our academy player Jakub Krč. "I do not admit another option than only rescue in the league," continues the 21-year-old football player, who in the spring of the Fortuna League became an essential part of our team on the left side of the defense.
Former Slovak national team player got his chance after the opening match of the spring against Trencin. The training injury has eliminated Patrick Asmah and Jakub Krč has started eight times in a row since then: “Of course, I have happy to have the confidence of a new coach. I´m trying to repay his trust on the pitch by good performances."
We entered the superstructure of the group by the wrong foot. Loss 3:2 in Zlaté Moravce moved us to the last place of the table. We managed to transform good performances on the field into a three-point profit up to Myjava against Trenčín, where we won our first spring victory. After the victory over Nitra and Trnava we finally returned to the fight for rescue and left the last place in the table: “I think that in the previous matches the performances were not bad. Finally, we started to scored goals, we have to follow it in other matches,” explains Jakub Krč, who adds: “This year is an extremely balanced struggle for rescue. All six teams are fighting to stay in the league, it will be interesting until the last match.”
Left-footed footballer used to play in the middle in the past, now he has to get used to a new position. “On the left side of the defense I have been practicing since the beginning of winter preparations, I think I have already adapted to this position,” explains Jakub Krč. Our graceful league cup ride in Slovnaft Cup ended just before the gates of the finals, when we were not able to beat Spartak Trnava in two matches. "Both matches were the most balanced, the only goal in the first match decided, which I am very sorry for. We all wanted to advance to the finals,” says a 21-year-old football player.
In the second part of the season, Jakub Krč became only one Slovak player, who is starting in first eleven. “I´m not trying to see it as the only Slovak player. In this way, we are not the only team in the league in which there are many foreigners.” In this regard, the number 5 player is a regular for journalists post-match interviews: “The problem is not after the winning game, but it is worse after losing. At that time, the mood is not the best.”
Cultural differences or different languages are not an obstacle. An example is Jakub Krč himself, who in the dressing room undestand very well with other players from Croatia. "On the human side, we are understand everyone very well, this realy pleases me. I have a good relationship with them. After the season, Im planning to visit them in Croatia. As far as my Croatian is concerned, there is still something to improve (laughs).” But the most of the free time he used to spend alongside Czech goalkeeper Vojtěch Vorel. “I understand with Vojto very well, we spend a lot of time together and I will definitely meet him in the future,” adds Jakub Krč.
